Chicha is a fermented (alcoholic) beverage of Latin America, emerging from the Andes and Amazonia regions. It is made from a variety of maize or corn.
The process for making chicha is essentially the same as the process for the production of malted barley beer. Carney's Chicha is made with purple corn, a heaping helping of pineapple and strawberry, and pinch of cinnamon and clove.
